Korean Flower Boy Band FTISLAND, who will come to Taiwan again in December for a concert; before the concert, they specially took time off in Seoul to grant TRENDY an exclusive interview. Now, come along with TRENDY and have a date together with the five treasures!

Of course, most importantly, everyone, please do not forget that on 15 and 16 December, FTISLAND will come to Taiwan for the concerts!
Currently busy with promotions for the new album FIVE TREASURE BOX and preparations for their impending concert in Taiwan, FTISLAND specially took time out from their busy schedules and granted TRENDY this exclusive interview. Meeting FTISLAND again after a very long time, the members kept saying that because they wish to come to Taiwan and meet everyone again, they feel really excited! Even the busiest amongst the members, Hongki, who rushes to shoot a movie and MC for a music show, did his best to cutely say that he's so busy that he is a little tired, but his good mood was totally portrayed on his ever-smiling face!
A shooting process which is really 'HIGH' with laughter
Before the interview when the cover and individual shoots were taken, the treasures' good-natured rough-housing filled the venue with endless laughter. TRENDY also prepared a celebratory cake for FTISLAND member - Minhwan - whose birthday is in November, which was used as a prop during the shoot. But because of the boys' mischievous jokes, there were many instances where the shriek-inducing "cake-in-danger" incidents nearly happened. Thankfully, Minhwan's reflexes were fast, and the cake safely completed the shoot. And Seunghyun, who never misses a chance to practice his Chinese every time he sees the TRENDY team, suddenly spouted Chinese. This not only made the TRENDY team burst out laughing, the members also could not stop laughing. During Jaejin's individual shoot, he even had to stop the shoot because Seunghyun was too funny. And when Seunghyun and Jaejin joined hands to make jokes, they even managed to make the normally-calm Jonghun leader take a deep breath with difficulty and ask them both to quit fooling around!
Q&A time
Before the TRENDY team came to Seoul to interview FTISLAND, we gathered all the things that everyone wanted to say to FTISLAND or questions which they wished to ask the members on the official fan club. The response was very warm, so apart from conveying everyone's heartfelt messages, TRENDY also included the most popular and the most unique questions to ask the treasures in the interview.
－In December, FTISLAND will come to Taiwan again to hold a large-scale concert. This time, did the members prepare anything special which they want to give to everyone in Taiwan?
HK: (laughs) This time, we prepared a lot which we want to do; and we also want to give everyone a different performance from before. Yeah... This time, we will pursue a style which is more rock. On the day of the concert, everyone, please feel it!
－The release of this album, FIVE TREASURE BOX, yielded great results not only in Korea, but also in Taiwan. Please introduce and promote this album a little!
HK: We're really very thankful to the support from the fans, especially the warmth from the Taiwan fans. They have never let us down before, (so) we're very happy that the new album has yielded good results.
SH: This album holds a lot of our own creations: There are songs which I composed together with Minhwan and filled with lyrics from Hongki-hyung. We hope that you will listen to each and every one of the songs.
JJ: Our title song this time, I Wish, has a starting which is full of Latin-style charm, but once you get to the turning-point of a chorus, it is a style with a different sort of charm. Together with the lyrics, which speak of rather realistic emotions, it is a very attractive song, and one which I most recommend. I hope everyone likes it and supports us!
MH: I really recommend Paper Plane. This should be a type of song of a new challenge. After listening to it, your mood will be good, and it's also a song which is more enjoyable the more you listen to it, a song which you will want to keep on listening to.
HK: LIFE, which has a strong rhythm and was created by Jonghun and I, is the one which I most want to recommend to everyone to listen to. Please feel the charm of this song!
JH: Yes...... U, which I composed, didn't receive much good comments from the members, but this song is full of my thoughts which I want to express to the fans. I ask for everyone to support. (pouts)
－FTISLAND, who has been to Taiwan many times, if you have the chance, will you consider coming to Taiwan for a 'LONG STAY'?
SH: Although I've gone to Taiwan many times, I've not had the chance to go around and take a look. Taiwan's weather is warm, so I really want to go!
HK: (The question) is asking whether you want to go for a 'LONG STAY', not whether you want to go for a holiday!
SH: (sudden enlightenment on his face) Ah...... During the 'LONG STAY', I can also go for a holiday, haha~
JJ: Everytime we go to Taiwan, whether it's a meet-and-greet or a concert, we can always feel the Taiwan fans' strong warmth and their hearts which support us with overflowing love. So if we have a chance to come to Taiwan for a 'LONG STAY', then we should, in that time, have performances non-stop in Taiwan!
HK: What a tough challenge!
JJ: Hongki-ssi, let's challenge it together and see!
MH: Of course we have to go. It'll be good to bring my mother along; I think she'll like Taiwan too!
JH: If there's a chance, of course I want to go. Challenging and learning new things, experiencing the local life, eating the local food in Taiwan should be a very good experience.
HK: Previously, we also did a 'LONG STAY' in Japan. To be honest, it's very harsh. You have to work hard at learning the language; you also have to overcome the many situations which arise due to cultural differences. But it's also because we learnt many things, got to know many local friends, gathered precious life experiences, received many chances to go on Japanese variety shows and act in Japanese dramas, etc, that we have such good results in Japan. So if there was a similar chance to go to Taiwan, even if we know that hardship is hard to avoid, I would still want to give it a shot in Taiwan!
－A while ago, FTISLAND specially went to the hospital to visit a Malaysian fan, giving that fan a tremendous amount of encouragement, and then made the other fans feel touched. Can you talk about this matter?
HK: That Malaysian fan came to Korea in order to have her operation and treatment, and we just had the chance to go and visit her. Although she is of a young age, she has already gone through many treatment operations. At first, when we went to visit her, we were actually a little worried. We couldn't stop thinking about how to cheer her on and encourage her, so we kept saying a lot of things which are happy and funny. But this friend, she's a lot more outgoing and optimistic than what we thought. Not only is her face always with a smile, her eyes are also full of sparkle: This made us feel sorry and also very touched. We hope she can continue to push on!
(Although the other members didn't say anything and just nodded their heads, their faces revealed smiles and their eyes became warm.)
－Maybe there is no way to personally go to the sides of every fan and give them encouragement, but do the members have anything to say to the fans who wish to receive your encouragement?
HK: Finding something which you really like and want to do is the most important. Perhaps right now, we're not all that perfect or have attained our dreams, but we are still persistently working on the type of music we like. Of course, you'll definitely experience hardship or difficulties, but you've gotta continue moving towards the direction of your dreams. No matter what, if you don't give up, you will definitely reap results. So no matter what huge hardship and difficulty you meet, always remember, work hard a little more, and good things will happen!
